wHat Hurtzz tHe mOSt!!

Couldnt believe it
It could have not been true
I could have sworn
I was born to be with you.

You'll see me laugh
You'll see me cry
but please dont tell me"Find another guy!"

Ill get through this
like ive done before
but everytime it gets harder
my heart is sore.

Once it has been broken
its hard to heal
if it hurts this much
you know its real.

My moon

lt’s crying, from being lonely.
So high up, we don’t even notice.
There’s no need to cry I’m here.

Shying away from the world,
Won’t help it make friends,
But it’s my friend.

As we come together this night,
We are like one.
Even if we have our differences, we are all the same.

Your imperfection is so beautiful.
Perfection is overrated.
Your story of your beauty is worth hearing.

Tonight you’re shining so brightly.
You are loved.
Finally, you’re happy.

You’re slowly losing it.
But you’re still so high, that it makes everyone else jealous.
You’re far away from your twilight.

Where are you?
Wait I see you, but you’re not the same.
Why are you so torn?

Why do you doubt me?
You’re confused.
I wanna help.

What a beautiful disaster…

My Eclipse

I had those eyes
Until she came
I had those thoughts
Until she came
I had those ears
Until she came
"Oh hey, come on lets sit together, know that your here."
"OK lets go."
And she came
"Hey how come you come late?"
That's when I lost him
Again.

My Eclips

Under a Migrant Moon

http://www.joachimmatschoss.com/html/under_a_migrant_moon.html

Moon Names

In folklore, full moons were given folk names, twelve each year, corresponding to times of the year and the related weather and crop needs, such as harvest moon, growing moon, and snow moon (varying widely with locality and culture). A year has either twelve or thirteen full moons, so in the years with thirteen full moons, one moon would not align with the correct season and was named a blue moon, which then re-aligned the rest of the year's twelve moons.

Blue Moon

The origin of the term "blue moon" is steeped in folklore, and its meaning has changed and acquired new nuances over time. Some folktales say that when there is a blue moon, the moon had a face and talked to those in its light.

Harvest Moon

The harvest moon is the moon at and about the period of fullness that is nearest to the autumnal equinox.

Harvest Moon is also known as the Wine Moon, the Singing Moon and the Elk Call Moon. In American myth and folklore the full moon of each month is given a name. There are many variations, but the following list gives the most widely known names in the modern US:

* January - Wolf moon, Hunger moon, Old moon
* February - Snow moon, Ice moon
* March - Worm moon, Sap moon, Sugaring moon, Crow moon, Storm moon
* April - Pink moon, Egg moon, Grass moon, Rain moon, Growing moon
* May - Flower moon, Planting moon, Milk moon, Hare moon
* June - Strawberry moon, Rose moon, Honey moon, Mead moon
* July - Buck moon, Thunder moon, Deer moon, Hay moon
* August - Sturgeon moon, Corn moon, Fruit moon, Barley moon
* September - Harvest moon (moon nearest autumn equinox)
* October - Hunter's moon (moon after harvest moon), Bunky moon
* November - Beaver moon, Frosty moon, Snow moon
* December - Cold moon, Long Night moon, Winter moon

Hunters Moon

The Hunter's Moon (also known as Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon) is the first full moon after the harvest moon, which is the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox.

Albania..Ancient Lunar Diety

In mythology, a lunar deity is a god or goddess associated with or symbolizing the moon: see moon (mythology). These deities can have a variety of functions and traditions depending upon the culture, but they are often related to or an enemy of the solar deity. Lunar deities can be both male and female, and are usually held to be of the opposite sex of the corresponding solar deity. Male lunar deities are somewhat more common worldwide, although female deities are better known in modern times due to the influence of classical Greek and Roman mythology, which held the moon to be female.

Albania

The lands comprising modern-day Albania were occupied by the Romans in 165 BC and incorporated into the empire as part of the province of Illyricum. The western part of Via Egnatia, was inside modern Albania . Illyricum was later divided into the provinces of Dalmatia and Pannonia.

The Romans ruled Illyria for almost six centuries. Under Roman rule Illyrian society underwent great change, especially in its outward, material aspect. Art and culture flourished, particularly in Apollonia, whose school of philosophy became celebrated in antiquity. To a great extent, though, the Illyrians resisted assimilation into Roman culture. Illyrian culture survived, along with the Illyrian tongue, though many Latin words entered the language and later became a part of the Albanian language.

After the fall of the Roman Empire, the modern Albania region was incorporated into the Byzantine Empire, administered from Constantinople. Albania was under Byzantine rule until the fourteenth century AD when the Ottoman Turks began to make incursions into the Empire. The Ottomans captured Constantinople in 1453 and by 1460 most former Byzantine territories were in the hands of the Turks.

Visayan version

This is an ancient Visayan account of creation:

Thousands of years ago, there was no land, sun, moon, or stars, and the world was only a great sea of water, above which stretched the sky. The water was the kingdom of the god Maguayan, and the sky was ruled by the great god, Kaptan.

Maguayan had a daughter called Lidagat, the sea, and Kaptan had a son known as Lihangin, the wind. The gods agreed to the marriage of their children, so the sea became the bride of the wind.

A daughter and three sons were born to them. The sons were called Likalibutan, Liadlao, and Libulan, and the daughter received the name of Lisuga.

Likalibutan had a body of rock and was strong and brave; Liadlao was formed of gold and was always happy; Libulan was made of copper and was weak and timid; and the beautiful Lisuga had a body of pure silver and was sweet and gentle. Their parents were very fond of them, and nothing was wanting to make them happy.

After a time Lihangin died and left the control of the winds to his eldest son Likalibutan. The faithful wife Lidagat soon followed her husband, and the children, now grown up, were left without father or mother. However, their grandfathers, Kaptan and Maguayan, took care of them and guarded them from all evil.

After some time, Likalibutan, proud of his power over the winds, resolved to gain more power, and asked his brothers to join him in an attack on Kaptan in the sky above. They refused at first, but when Likalibutan became angry with them, the amiable Liadlao, not wishing to offend his brother, agreed to help. Then together they induced the timid Libulan to join in the plan.

When all was ready, the three brothers rushed at the sky, but they could not beat down the gates of steel that guarded the entrance. Likalibutan let loose the strongest winds and blew the bars in every direction. The brothers rushed into the opening, but were met by the angry god Kaptan. So terrible did he look that they turned and ran in terror, but Kaptan, furious at the destruction of his gates, sent three bolts of lightning after them.

The first struck the copper Libulan and melted him into a ball. The second struck the golden Liadlao and he too was melted. The third bolt struck Likalibutan and his rocky body broke into many pieces and fell into the sea. So huge was he that parts of his body stuck out above the water and became what is known as land.

In the meantime the gentle Lisuga had missed her brothers and started to look for them. She went toward the sky, but as she approached the broken gates, Kaptan, blind with anger, struck her too with lightning, and her silver body broke into thousands of pieces.

Kaptan then came down from the sky and tore the sea apart, calling on Maguayan to come to him and accusing him of ordering the attack on the sky. Soon Maguayan appeared and answered that he knew nothing of the plot as he had been asleep deep in the sea. After some time, he succeeded in calming the angry Kaptan. Together they wept at the loss of their grandchildren, especially the gentle and beautiful Lisuga, but even with their powers, they could not restore the dead back to life. However, they gave to each body a beautiful light that will shine forever.

And so it was the golden Liadlao who became the sun and the copper Libulan, the moon, while Lisuga's pieces of silver were turned into the stars of heaven. To wicked Likalibutan, the gods gave no light, but resolved to make his body support a new race of people. So Kaptan gave Maguayan a seed and he planted it on one of the islands.

Soon a bamboo tree grew up, and from the hollow of one of its branches, a man and a woman came out. The man's name was Sikalak and the woman was called Sikabay. They were the parents of the human race. Their first child was a son whom they called Libo; afterwards they had a daughter who was known as Saman.

Pandaguan, the youngest son, was very clever and invented a trap to catch fish. The very first thing he caught was a huge shark. When he brought it to land, it looked so great and fierce that he thought it was surely a god, and he at once ordered his people to worship it. Soon all gathered around and began to sing and pray to the shark. Suddenly the sky and sea opened, and the gods came out and ordered Pandaguan to throw the shark back into the sea and to worship none, but them.

All were afraid except Pandaguan. He grew very bold and answered that the shark was as big as the gods, and that since he had been able to overpower it he would also be able to conquer the gods. Then Kaptan, hearing this, struck Pandaguan with a small lightning bolt, for he did not wish to kill him but merely to teach him a lesson. Then he and Maguayan decided to punish these people by scattering them over the earth, so they carried some to one land and some to another. Many children were afterwards born, and thus the earth became inhabited in all parts.

Pandaguan did not die. After lying on the ground for thirty days he regained his strength, but his body was blackened from the lightning, and his descendants became the dark-skinned tribe, the Negritos.

As punishment, his eldest son, Aryon, was taken north where the cold took away his senses. While Libo and Saman were carried south, where the hot sun scorched their bodies. A son of Saman and a daughter of Sikalak were carried east, where the land at first was so lacking in food that they were compelled to eat clay.

The Moon

Share your Moon Stories- from your culture, religion, or legends that you have heard...

Here are a few that we found in class

Oaxaca, Mexico

Rabbit- Best known as the symbol of the moon. The rabbits profile fits the shape of the dark region of a full moon. Instead of a man in the moon the Zapotecs and Mayans saw a rabbit in the moon. The Mayan moon goddess was frequently depicted in art holding a rabbit.

Man in the Moon

The Man in the Moon is an imaginary figure resembling a human face, head or body, that observers from some cultural backgrounds typically perceive in the bright disc of the full moon.

"The Man in the Moon" can also refer to a mythological character said to live on or in the moon, but who is not necessarily represented by the markings on the face of the moon. An example is Yue-Laou, from Chinese tradition..

Yue-Laou, the "old man of the moonlight," is a figure in Chinese traditional prose and poetry. He appears at night, and "unites with a silken cord all predestined couples, after which nothing can prevent their union." [1] He is immortal[2] and is said to live either in the moon[3] or in the "obscure regions" (Yue ming), the Chinese equivalent of Hades. [4]

Catholicism

Easter Sunday is the Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon (PFM) date for the year. In June 325 A.D. astronomers approximated astronomical full moon dates for the Christian church, calling them Ecclesiastical Full Moon (EFM) dates. From 326 A.D. the PFM date has always been the EFM date after March 20 (which was the equinox date in 325 A.D.)

In Catholic semiotics (symbols and significations) the moon usually represents mutability or change. This is not original to Catholicism; the moon has been used as the basis of religions, lunar calendars, time-keeping and superstitions since man looked to the sky. This is because the moon is constantly waxing and waning and moving through the sky.

Probably the most popular image in Catholic iconography depicting the moon is the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a miraculous image placed on the tilma (cloak) of Blessed Juan Diego by Our Lady Herself. In the image she is standing on the moon, the changeable things of this world, communicating to us not to trust in worldly things but rather in her patronage before God.

Little girl

Who's that girl that covers her face most of the time?
Who's that little girl who usually doesn't say much?
She's a cute one.
Shy yeah.
Her smiles are so very soft and touching.
Her real story is that she was lost,
but now she found her way.
Now she ain't that shy little girl anymore!
She's everything that you can think of.
But more importantly,
she's unique.
You'll definitely won't forget her!

Full Moon

Beautiful Lie

Why do i feel like this?
dont know what bothers me..
pretend to smile
pretend to laugh
feel like crying
and the only hope that's left is:
i know that something good will happen next...:)

Everything used to be better before
or is it just that I opened my eyes
but now i can see it clearly
that it was all

Hey o.0

Hey guys i have a poem i want to show you all. Even tho i didnt make it i still wanted to share it with you . Check it out. Hope You guys like it.

Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
